Job Description

Position Objective
Provide support for the service and rental departments, tasked with entering part orders into the NDS database taking the sale from start to finish. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross margin YOY targets (defined by the projection model)
  • Work in conjunction with Regional GM’s / Branch Managers to target specific retail service opportunities aligned with capabilities
  • Provide management timely feedback on market trends, opportunities and competition
  • Keeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and departmental meetings
  • Meeting and exceeding facility key measurements to insure profitability and future growth
  • Providing superior customer service and achieving operational excellence while staying ahead of the competition.
  • Support service and warranty functions by ordering and/or sourcing parts, services and supplies
  • Assist in identifying and selling obsolete/overstock inventory
  • Other duties as assigned to support branch and JDC employees
  • Meeting and exceeding facility key measurements to insure profitability and future growth by generating sales in support of heavy duty vacuum trucks, services and parts to commercial customers. The position will focus on growing sales for equipment parts and service, with new/existing customers and working with the PSSR to accomplish.
  • Identify and upsell to key target markets for specific product lines including but not limited to inspection related products.
  • Provide support for PSSR’s and Retail Shop Operations, ensure that quoting is completed in a timely manner and all parts are identified appropriately.
  • Ensures that front counter operations are properly serviced at all times including customer and showroom organization & presentation.
  • Assist warehouse operations, including receiving, stock keeping, physical inventories & cycle counts and shipping when required.
  • Conduct demo and in field support as required

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a heavy equipment or truck dealership environment, specifically in the parts area
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, organize and motivate
  • in a high-performance work environment to achieve established goals while maintaining respect for people and our customers
  • Proven track record of customer focus
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (listening, verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of parts distribution procedures
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, etc. Ability to learn software.
  • Knowledge of parts aftermarket
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

The individual in this position will interact with employees and managers in other departments and locations at Jack Doheny Company. Receiving and reacting to directions other than from your immediate supervisor will be required periodically. Conversely, there will also be time when the person in this position must give directions to other.
