Objective of the Position: Responsible for the development of production schedules for manufacturing to ensure 100% customer delivery performance utilizing the most cost effective methods for the organization. Primary customer contact with OEM’s.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Responsible for developing, tracking and continuously improving key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the supply chain and materials organization.
- Administrative knowledge required includes product and process knowledge and the ability to foster a participative effort is paramount for success in the position.
- Assist in the managing of engineering changes that will include minimizing or elimination of obsolescence, and the effective implementation of new product launches including all SAP system requirements.
- Translate customer orders into the manufacturing production schedule and work with the planning personnel when fluctuations in customer demands require adjustments to ensure schedules maintained and desired inventory levels.
- Help to develop Master Scheduling functions for EETAM and work with the planning group to ensure that all departmental processes are being developed and followed.
- Monitor changes in customer requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure production schedules and operating plans are adequate.
- Assist with development of level production schedules for manufacturing without substantial inventory increases all within plant capacities.
- Daily maintenance of production schedules and communication with materials and operations through assigned avenues.
- Monitor inventory levels in both WIP and FG ensuring they remain within pre-determined tolerances.
- Manage inventory to the lowest level without negatively impacting production.
- Manage customer demand and ensure the integrity of the supplier releases.
- Review the SAP tools to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers and to customers.
- Maintain a consistent flow of materials to support the production schedule.
- Maintain planning parameters in SAP system to ensure release integrity.
- Monitor revision levels and ensure coordinated and running changes are managed properly to avoid obsolescence.
- Manage engineering changes by effectively communicating the date of the change to the manufacturing cell. Ensure proper timing of the engineering change to avert obsolescence.
- Lead representative for all APQP meetings to ensure single point communications to plant functional groups.
- Support and promote full SAP and Customer system utilization.
- Ensure plant teams, staff and associates are accurately trained to expectations outlined in the change process.
- Process owner for all document and data coordination and controls, ensuring compliance with TS 16949 requirements.
- Ensure BOM accuracy.
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Material Management, Supply Chain, Business or similar related degree is required.
- Minimum five years of Tier 1 or Tier 2 master scheduling experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge of computer applications in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong planning and scheduling experience with a strong preference of utilizing SAP.
- Previous experience working with a team that represents Supply Chain/Materials Management at its highest level, all working within a TS-16949 environment.
- Experience as a customer contact with OEM’s.
- Ability to travel by car or plane.
Technical Expertise:
- Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
