Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring full-time Material Control Technicians for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. This full-time Material Control Technician position is based out of Livonia, MI. and offers an AM Day shifts and possible overtime. Material Control Techs will be responsible for picking and packing automotive parts, getting them ready to ship to the assembly facility floor. This includes building, wrapping, and labeling pallets in a safe and easily accessible way. Some inventory control duties.
Shift Schedule:
- AM Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus weekends as needed)
- AM Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 6:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus weekends as needed)
- AM Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus weekends as needed)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 2 years US driving experience and a valid US driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of order picking experience or equivalent military experience
- Ability to drive a sit-down Hi-Lo, including getting on and off multiple times per shift
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds
- Experience recording/tracking inventory in an ERP system
- Excellent data entry and computer skills
- Good written and verbal skills
- Experience picking orders to a pick list both with and without a tablet/scanner
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent organization skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able learn new processes and systems in a short time span
- Must be reliable
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with creating and processing PID’s in PeopleSoft
- Experience recording/tracking inventory in PeopleSoft
