National Sales Rep

This is an opportunity for a sales professional to make a significant impact while being a part of an emerging market leader. The Transportation Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining a book of business by providing multi-modal transportation solutions and excellent customer service. The position incorporates a high volume of customer interaction involving cold calling, prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts. This position is based in our rapidly growing Clinton Township, MI office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop a strong sales pipeline through relationships, lead generation, prospecting and networking
  • Effectively manage new business pipeline and translate these opportunities into accounts
  • Manage a portfolio of business through pricing, quoting and consulting
  • Engage prospective clients at all levels, selling value across the business
  • Reach and exceed targeted revenue goals by closing new business
  • Create quotations and sales proposals for company services across all modes of transportation
  • Act as liaison between all parties linked in the shipping process
  • Collaborate with your team on pricing decisions, supplier selection and timing
  • Hit and or exceed daily call numbers in order to hit goals

Requirements & Characteristics:

  • 0-1 years of sales experience (within the industry or B2B)
  • A proven track record of sales success and exceeding goals
  • Strong cold calling and networking experience
  • Possess a strong work ethic, is self-motivated and enthusiastic and has a demonstrated ability to identify successful sales tactics to aggressively close business
  • Team player mentality with the ability to learn
  • Business-minded, with an ability to multi-task in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
  • Aggressive sales mentality and negotiation skills
  • Well versed in business development and account retention
  • Driven by the opportunity to make money and the thrill of a win
  • Ability to problem solve, think quickly and make educated business decisions on the spot
  • Superior written and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management and clients
