Under general supervision, reviews the work of approximately two to seven assigned lower level clerical employees engaged in performing general and technical clerical support. As an expert clerical employee, provides guidance and assists assigned clerical staff in the performance of duties such as: receiving, reviewing, preparing, processing, and filing various documents; word and data processing; logging and scheduling of appointments; resolving departmental related public inquiries, and demonstrates detailed knowledge of department procedures. Assumes responsibility for the proper release of confidential information and work distribution among assigned clerical personnel. Exercises judgement and knowledge obtained on the job, and takes corrective action on unusual deviations from office practices. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Test.
2. Have had four (4) years of responsible full-time clerical experience.
3. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical established for this class.
4. Successfully complete the six (6) month probationary period.
