POSITION SUMMARY:
P&L responsible for product line.  Working within a matrix organization to drive the business performance. Leading and coordinating commercial activities including implementation of product line strategy and developing business cases for quoting and appropriation requests.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Product Line Plan consistent with product line strategy to drive the business to achieve desired targets
  • Own the development and delivery of the business case by communicating and jointly developing a quote strategy, engaging with all functions to deliver desired inputs, providing targets, assessing risk in costing, and challenging the organization as necessary to get the right level of risk and clarity for quote
  • Driving cost improvement initiatives from VA/VE, supplier resourcing, end of life product management, operations performance for the overall product line
  • Work closely with advanced manufacturing engineering to continuously monitor capacity and the long-term impacts as per the Product Line Plan
  • Oversee all key activities that impact the P&L of the product line including warranty, change management for significant changes, key quality concerns, customer recoveries, etc.
  • Own Market pricing model, normalized pricing, and develop economic value to drive target pricing
  •  Analyze current product financial performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-driven with the ability to gain respect and influence others
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with different degrees of completion requirements & complexity
  • Demonstrate effective problem analysis & decision making
  • Provide effective customer service [internal / external]
  • Above average computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and financial models
  • Ability to perform job functions independently
  • Produce quality work that is detailed and accurate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with global experience

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s preferred.  MBA strongly preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years professional experience in related field. Background in Engineering, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Process Knowledge: Manufacturing in automotive environment, Product Launch, RFQ, Product Development

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel 10% to 15%
