At Cirba Solutions, we help our customers enhance their sustainability programs by supporting their battery recycling efforts. As the leader in our field, we set the standards for product and service offerings.

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales the Business Development Manager works to improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. The manager will define long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, help manage existing clients and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. They will be working with the Engineering team, Marketing/ Communications staff, and other managers to develop sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

·       Demonstrated ability to execute, including implementation of comprehensive marketing and sales plans and programs leading to solid revenue growth

·       Drives business to Cirba Solutions best business offerings, creates the story of the solution

·       Strong drive to achieve monthly goals as assigned

·       Driven to negotiate and close new enterprise level accounts

·       Advanced communication and listening skills

·       Proven ability to prepare professional sales presentations and quarterly business reviews

·       Works independently, capable of understanding complex concepts and innovative ideas

·       Able to provide direction and management to direct reports and peers while also managing communication cross-functionally and vertically

·       Well-developed interpersonal skills and professionalism

CLIENT RETENTION

·       Present new solutions and enhance existing relationships

·       Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs

·       Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs

 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

·       Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends

·       Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels

·       Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales

·       Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

 

MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH

·       Submit weekly progress reports

·       Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other E-Sales management system

·       Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team

·       Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets

·       Experience with the collection of information regarding the competitive landscape. Ability to quickly gather in-depth knowledge and understanding of the customer base, competitors and market.

·       All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

·       A proven builder of influential relationships with strategic customers and partners

·       Well-developed analytical and decision--making skills

·       Well-developed team building and conflict resolution skills

·       Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management

·       Proficiency with MS Office (with emphasis on MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

·       Ability to travel as necessary to key enterprise accounts

·       Technology Oriented, Networking, Persuasion, Public Speaking, Research, Writing, Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Territory Management, Market Knowledge

·       Battery Engineering or Sales an asset

·       Bilingual (English and Spanish) an asset

 

Education and Training Requirements

 

·       The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or equivalent experience in a solutions or services sales

·       Candidate must have 10-12 years’ experience in a sales role within Automotive, TechComm, Power or Renewables industries

·       MBA is an asset
