A key member of our team are our Shipping and Receiving Associates, they will load and unload materials from trucks, properly identify, label and transfer material to designated store area. Our employees are given on the job training, so you don’t need to know about batteries when you start.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures, and always acting in a safe manner.  Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

·      Load and unload materials upon their arrival and departure using forklift.

·      Verify accuracy of shipments by identifying, counting, and weighing material against packing slip, invoices, and bills of lading.

·      May open crates, drums, pails, and other containers to confirm material type using triage.

·      Confers and corresponds with other departments to rectify issues, such as damages, shortages and other nonconformance issues.

·      Prepares material for shipment following all DOT regulations.

·      May maintain computerized inventory, take physical count periodically and check against inventory control using I.S.I.S. software.

·      Requires flexibility in work hours and break times.

·      Responsible for proper packaging and labeling of stored and shipped material.

·      Other responsibilities may include working in other areas depending on workload.

·      Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in work areas.

·      All other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Able to lift 10-50 pounds on occasion
  • Basic computer skills which may include knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and receiving software
  • Accuracy in data entry
  • Close attention to detail
  • Able to operate propane/electric forklift and manual material handling equipment.
  • Use of basic hand tools
  • Basic math skills
  • Performs all functions safely, following Cirba Solutions’ policies.

 

Education and Training Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-year shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • Minimum 2-year experience with forklift preferred
