Job Description

General Description

- Engages in operating a variety of machines to manufacture products by performing the following duties;

Hour by hour / weekly responsibilities:

- Feeding material into machinery via operation of forklift.

- Stage material feed stock.

- Monitoring material traveling on the conveyor belt for quality and non-conforming material (rotational duty).

- Operation of machinery.

- Constant cleaning of conveyor belt.

- Constant cleaning of screen sifting unit.

- Adjust feed rates to accommodate specified goals.

- Identify mechanical issues and report to supervisor.

- Utilization of scooping tools, shovels, tampering tools, and other hand tools.

- Empty bag house collections as needed.

- Change out filled finished product containers via operation of forklift.

- Shut down partial line to perform.

- Utilizing identification number, weigh, and time stamp tagging method.

- Build empty finished product containers as needed.

- Assist in maintenance as needed.

- Assisting maintenance personnel in preventative maintenance of light and heavy machinery used for processing.

- Assisting maintenance personnel in unexpected maintenance of light and heavy machinery used for processing.

- Mandatory use of PPE including the following protection:

- Eye

- Ear

- Respiratory in specified areas

- Uniforms kept onsite, laundered offsite

- Gloves

- Hard-shell, hard-toe footwear

- Keep work area clean.

- Ability to work well with others. - Other duties may be assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Ability to perform, read, and comprehend job instructions and safety documentation.

- Ability to read measuring devices.

- Basic analytical and decision-making skills.

- Basic communication and listening skills.

- Forklift experience.

- Identifying non-conforming product.

- Battery identification.

- Knowledge of tools and mechanical experience.


- Must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time to perform assigned job activities.

- Must be mechanically inclined.

- Must be able to pass physical and fit testing for respiratory protection.

- Medical devices affected by magnetic fields may be at potential risk.

Education and Training requirements

- High school degree or equivalent.

- Warehouse and forklift experience of at least 6 months.

- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English as well as follow written and oral directions given in English.
