As a Technician in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As a Technician I, a typical day might include the following:  

  • Apply concepts in the planning, design, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical power systems.

  • Develop and maintain a basic level of knowledge in the detail design practices of SEL protection and automation systems as well as quality standards.

  • Conduct tests in support of department objectives, documenting and reporting malfunctions and identifying/analyzing undesirable trends.

  • Perform wiring modifications and physical installation of electrical protection, control, and automation equipment as required.

This job might be for you if: 

  • Ability to provide technical service and/or engineering support in an engineering environment.

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent certification, training and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and wiring diagrams.

  • Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.

  • Familiarity with Autocad, Microstation and AcSELerator Quickset and industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus).

Pay Range Data

We anticipate filling this position as a Technician I $22.84 - $34.28/hour. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the hourly range may differ if filled at a different level. Our hourly ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
