The Thermal Performance Engineer responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will recommend actions to the Product team.
- Conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), cooling systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs.
- Lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution.
- Responsible for proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting.
- Occasionally be required to interact with members of the exterior styling studio.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Chauffeur's License or willingness and ability to get one
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
- Experience with data acquisition systems
- Experience with drive cell / wind tunnel testing
- Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Proven ability to lead teams
- Class A Commercial Driver License
