The Thermal Performance Engineer responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will recommend actions to the Product team.
  • Conduct reviews of functional systems (simulation and testing), cooling systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineers, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs.
  • Lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution.
  • Responsible for proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting.
  • Occasionally be required to interact with members of the exterior styling studio.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Chauffeur's License or willingness and ability to get one

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
  • Experience with data acquisition systems
  • Experience with drive cell / wind tunnel testing
  • Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Proven ability to lead teams
  • Class A Commercial Driver License
