Job Description

New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across various counties in Michigan, in both, outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Warren

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other fulltime equivalent

Reports To: President / Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor

Compensation: Salaried employee or W9 Contractor. Commensurate with experience. Possible Signing Bonus for eligible candidates.

Position Summary: The Clinical Therapist is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities supporting both the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient programs as needed/required. Telehealth and in-office options, competitive salaries, and sign on bonuses are available for qualified candidates.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical services to children, adolescents, adults and families following a person-centered approach and in accordance to the Agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide assessments, intakes, individual, family and/or group therapy as needed in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Maintain fulltime billing requirements (35+ billed SALs per week).
  • Develop and/or follow treatment plans using a person-centered process.
  • Complete discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
  • Complete Utilization Review assignments including but not limited to obtaining authorizations for services provided.
  • Maintain case files within electronic medical record (EMR) that are up to date and in compliance with clinic’s policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities. Complete all recommended continuing education requirements to keep licensure current.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Fulfillment of all initial and ongoing training requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Master’s degree and licensure in social work, counseling or psychology is required. Full licensure highly preferred. Temporary licensure cannot be considered. Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.

Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times and will need to be prepared to be actively involved with consumers.
