Shop Superintendent

We are looking for a Shop Superintendent to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. This position will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production to manufacturing to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed correctly. They will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.

The position of the Shop Superintendent consists of, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, asset capacities, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Share a trusting relationship with surrounding workforce
  • Recruit, manage, and develop plant staff
  • Collect and analyze data to find any cases of waste or avoidable overtime
  • Commit to and enforce plant safety procedures
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective returns on assets
  • Address any issue and/or grievances between personnel
  • Stay up to date on the most current management practices and concepts

Must Have:

  • Proven work experience as a Shop Superintendent
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles. (i.e.: budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision making, and people management skills.
  • Computer literacy
  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • 10 years or more of manufacturing experience

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 an hour

Schedule:

  • 10 Hour Day Shift
  • Overtime
