Job Description

This individual would be responsible for unfinished parts and transforming them into finished, machined products under the direction of the Machine Shop Foreman. This is a day shift job with a pay rate that will reflect the general ability and knowledge of the applicant.

The position of the CNC Lathe Machinist / Programmer is composed of but not limited to the following:

  • Operate/Set-up/Program at the machine; 2 axis Lathes
  • Review drawings, instructions, and blueprints
  • Produce machined parts by programming, set-up, and proving out the program
  • Maintain quality and safety standards
  • Layout and verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring tools such as Micrometers, Dial Bore Gages, Dial Calipers, and Dial Indicators
  • Assist and train other employees 

Must have:

  • Familiarity with Okuma and Mori Seiki machines
  • 3 years of experience setting up and programming CNC Lathes
  • Ability to bore jaws
  • Knowledge of GT&D symbols
  • Own basic precision tools such as Micrometers, Dial Indicators, and Dial Calipers
  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Pay Range: $20.00-$30.00 an hour
