Job Description
This individual would be responsible for welding steel, tubing, and all other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques, under the direction of the Shop Foreman. This is a day shift job with a pay rate that will reflect the weld certification and the general ability of the applicant.
The position of the Welder is composed of but not limited to the following:
- Preheating and finishing weld components per drawing specifications
- Repairing broken or cracked metal parts, filling holes, and building up surfaces to be machined to dimensions per drawing
- Properly documenting Weld Inspection Monitor sheets for parts being welded that require the maintaining of interpass temperatures
- Able to use overhead cranes and familiar with rigging of material
- Familiarity with pre-heating requirements for certain types of welding
Must Have:
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use hand-welding and or flame cutting equipment to:
- Weld / join metal components
- Fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products
Pay Range: $18.00-$23.00 an hour
Schedule:
- 10 Hour Day Shift
