As a Lathe Hand, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet our exacting standards. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of your machines.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, inserts, and fixtures.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years’ experience as a Lathe Hand in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating lathes.
- Strong knowledge of reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with various types of metals and materials.
- Basic understanding of tooling, inserts, and fixtures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
