Job Description

Ilmor Engineering provides design, development, testing, and manufacturing of performance engines and parts for major manufacturers and racing teams throughout the world. Our clients include automotive, marine, IndyCar, ARCA, and NASCAR among others.

All of our high-performance engines and components are precision engineered to the highest standards—utilizing the latest manufacturing technologies and quality systems. At Ilmor, we offer engineering and support services from clean sheet to completed project. Our team utilizes their expertise and ingenuity to create innovative original concepts or provide creative solutions to existing high-performance designs.

Summary

The Marine Design Engineer will be involved with multiple programs and designs. You will be responsible for dreaming, sketching, drawing, proving, producing, testing, validating and supporting various powertrain design efforts and other special projects for our Marine division.  At any given moment you might be out on the water on our development boats, in our engineering lab, at a vendor/supplier, hyper-focused in CAD, leading a design review meeting, collaborating with our CNC programmers & machinists, supporting engine testing with our Dyno team, or on a trip to support our field service team.

This is the perfect pure mechanical engineering role for you if you are high energy, love engines and all things powertrain, have rock-solid drawing/design skills, you know the ins and outs of GD&T and design for manufacturability, and you've got a proven ability to solve problems with the perfect blend of creativity, evidence-based assumptions and data.
