Job Summary
Serves as project leader for small to medium size projects to improve county policies, programs, and initiatives that promote environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Responsible for the overall execution of the project, including design, budget, and schedule on behalf of the Environmental Sustainability Unit and community-based projects. The projects are short to medium in duration and small to medium in budget. Performs responsible administrative and professional work of a complex nature including supporting the ideation, development, implementation, and evaluation of community-facing sustainability programs for Oakland County. Includes supporting the start-up of new projects and managing projects of significant internal and external community involvement. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Minimum Qualifications

1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university accredited college or university with a major in Sustainability, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field of study.
2. Have had at least two (2) years of full-time experience in developing, maintaining, and/or managing sustainability related programs, initiatives, or processes involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data.
NOTE: Additional years of experience can substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
