Is responsible for building community relations in the communities the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office services. This includes serving as a liaison with local elected officials, community leaders and community organizations and constituent groups to ensure awareness of the Water Resources programs and services and to facilitate local projects and activities. Attends all appearances with the Water Resources Commissioner and attends to all of the commissioner's public relations needs. Is also responsible for maintaining a community calendar for and planning special events. Works collaboratively with the WRC Marketing and Communications Officer and other marketing and communication team members to ensure that WRC services are accessible to county residents and understood. Coordinates special projects and recommend outreach opportunities that connect WRC and residents. They will ensure that regular updates are provided to the WRC Marketing and Communications Officer and the Water Resources Commissioner. Utilizes current County-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Business Administration, Communications, Political Science, or a closely related field.
2. Have at least four (4) years of full-time professional work experience in community outreach, public relations, or a closely related field.
3. Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license.
