Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist is the host of our online brand, creating a welcoming and engaging experience in our social media communities and our highly trafficked website. This role is responsible for creating content for our large and attentive audience. We are seeking a kind and conversational voice skilled in writing with both wit and clarity to continue growing our strong following that includes a website with hundreds of thousands of visits per month, a Google ranking over 4.8 stars with thousands of reviews, and a social community of thousands of followers.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain the credit union’s overall online brand experience, owning administration of the WordPress content management system, and the administration of our social media platforms including Meta and X.  
  • Informs, educates, and engages social media communities with timely and relevant financial tips, credit union news, and trending content adapted to our audience. 
  • Develops impeccable content. Includes curating and editing content from our expert partners and drafting original messaging in our voice.
  • Collaborates with teammates and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance of all posted content. Performs ongoing content audits and refreshes promotional offers, rates, and factual content in real time. 
  • Continually refreshes content across the website, including promoted content and blog articles to continually offer members and prospects new opportunities to learn and engage. 
  • Maintains social media and digital marketing calendars using best-in-class tools including HubSpot and Monday.com. 
  • Monitors social media and online reviews, providing timely, warm, and friendly responses to positive engagements. Escalates service concerns and negative reviews to our partners in our retail member centers and member contact center. 
  • Supports the marketing campaigns team to develop webpage content, landing pages, and social posts that promote current product campaigns. 
  • Supports the education and engagement team to maximize interactions with social properties during credit union and community events. 
  • Supports the marketing management team with administering our relationship with our digital advertising agency which includes providing creative briefs and reviewing assets for quality and accuracy. 
  • Collaborates with member experience manager, marketing systems administrator and member experience analyst to execute the team’s marketing technology roadmap. 
  • Keeps a pulse on key digital metrics, interpreting results to adjust organic content in concert with our agencies adjustments to paid outreach. 
  • Demonstrates ongoing growth in organic reach and engagement metrics.  
  • Participates in assigned organizational projects related to our digital channels.
  • Maintains close liaison with digital banking team to drive a consistent brand experience in digital service channels and leverage in-app marketing including targeted ads and informative videos, and assets for guided tutorials. 
  • Participates in cross-functional groups within the marketing department to execute special events and departmental projects.
  • Contributes to the achievement of departmental and organizational business plans.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred. 

 

Experience 

2-5 years experience administering social media platforms for a brand. 

2-5 years of experience administering a website CMS (content management system). 

2-5 years of content development experience, demonstrated in a professional portfolio. 

 

Skills & Abilities

Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain digital content with minimal typographical errors. 

Ability to create original social media content with tools including HubSpot, Canva, the Adobe Creative Suite, etc. 
 Working knowledge of SEO techniques and understanding of Google Analytics. 

Strong interest in personal finance and knowledge of financial concepts. Experience in financial services helpful, but not required.
