The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join our team. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for various manufacturing processes including; Brazing, Laser Identification, Pressure Test, Deburr, Polish, Saw Cutting, etc. He/she will participate in the inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and specifications.

Additionally, the Technician will:

  • Brazing parts following detailed instructions, includes fitting, prepping, applying proper chemical compound, and brazing through various methods.
  • Deburrs, cleans, polishes, and identifies parts.
  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive manufacturing and assembly operations for hardware and components for gas turbine engines.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, shears, grinders, drills, saw, tube bending and flaring equipment, pipe threading, and other items to be used in assembly.
  • Operates Heat treat and/or Furnace; requires internal certification.
  • Perform inspection and/or pressure testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications.
  • Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This opening is for 2nd or 3rd shift. Premium paid for both shifts. 

  • 2nd - 2:30 PM - 11 PM
  • 3rd - 9:30 PM - 6 AM

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or shop environment
    • The ability to pay close attention to detail while doing so in timely manner.
    • Experience applying braze alloy is a plus.
    • Experience in aerospace or medical manufacturing is a plus.
    • Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management, along with independently working.
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow step by step written instructions.
  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  •  Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
