SUMMARY
Testing and Servicing at Inductoheat and at Customer locations including complete induction systems, power supplies, control, mechanics, and water systems for heat treat and forging. Additionally repairing of electrical components.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Following established methods and procedures must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following:
· Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
· Repairs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes.
· Collects and prepares test procedures and data sheets for equipment to be tested.
· Troubleshoot controls, instruments, and systems for new industrial uses.
· Maintains test department filing system containing completed test reports, test equipment maintenance and calibration records, service, and background notes on various power supplies.
· Assists in assigned activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
· Maintains test instruments with respect to storage, repair, and replacement as necessary.
· Connects unit to be tested to test equipment such as signal generator, frequency meter, or spectrum analyzer.
· Connects unit to be tested to utilities such as power, water, air, hydraulics.
· Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance.
· Compares results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graph.
· Replaces defective wiring and components or records defects on tag attached to unit and returns unit to production department for repair.
· Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems.
· Devises test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer returned units.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Associates Degree or one to two year related Electrical Technician experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
