The Drain Improvement Construction Inspector performs field inspection work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes and recognized standards and methods of work in Ingham County, Michigan.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Identifies and problem solves site construction issues.
· Monitors construction progress for compliance with codes, permit conditions and contract documents.
· Attends various meetings as needed related to construction projects.
· Answers inquiries and complaints from residents or community members.
· Obtains measurements and report progress information and place on an Inspector's Daily Report (IDR).
· Completes and files daily reports.
· Coordinates construction materials testing with company staff or self performs on-site testing when needed.
