YWCA Kalamazoo

YWCA USA, the oldest, largest autonomous women’s membership organization in the world, is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all through racial and gender equity services and programming. YWCA Kalamazoo is the oldest Association in Michigan. Today, YWCA provides the only shelter, crisis intervention services, case management, and legal services specifically designed for victims of domestic violence, as well as the only services of this kind for sexual assault survivors, in Kalamazoo County. YWCA recently expanded services to support survivors of all forms of human trafficking by providing the only comprehensive programming and shelter in the State of Michigan. YWCA offers licensed childcare and provides wrap-around care through home visitation programs. YWCA is dedicated to racial and gender equity through community trainings, partnerships and a community wide initiative, Cradle Kalamazoo.
