BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.

Procurement Negotiation Managers (PNM) are key for negotiation design and tactics.  As PNM, you are empowered to set bold and innovative negotiation tactics, always utilizing state-of-the-art negotiations know-how and hunting for the best results to influence Coatings financial results with positive impact.  You will:

  • Drive the negotiation design within different categories, mainly focused on logistics environment, defining tactics and being fully accountable for their execution
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of negotiation outcomes (e.g., commercial terms, pricing, volume allocation) including contracts, ensuring full auditability and compliance.

  • Acting as a negotiation specialist at the interface between internal business partners and service providers, for all logistics services.
  • Continuously evolving and applying advanced negotiation methods, such as behavioral economics principles and smart auction design, to achieve superior results.
  • Converting negotiation insights into scalable solutions and frameworks, including digital platforms, auction systems, and AI-based co-pilot solutions.
  • Leading or contributing to strategic initiatives from basics to advanced, such as digital transformation, mentoring programs to extend procurement’s impact on business performance.
