CanAm Industrial is seeking an experienced and dependable Journeyman Electrician to support our industrial and automation-focused installation projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of industrial electrical work, including conduit installation, equipment wiring, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Run EMT/RMC conduit, pull wire, and perform terminations to code.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and site safety standards.
- Collaborate with project teams including foremen, project managers, and apprentices.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing devices.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to apprentice electricians.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (state-specific or 442A/309A in Canada).
- Minimum 4 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
- Strong understanding of NEC and/or CSA codes and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including at heights or in tight spaces.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
