Journeyman Electrician

CanAm Industrial is seeking an experienced and dependable Journeyman Electrician to support our industrial and automation-focused installation projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of industrial electrical work, including conduit installation, equipment wiring, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Run EMT/RMC conduit, pull wire, and perform terminations to code.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and site safety standards.
• Collaborate with project teams including foremen, project managers, and apprentices.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing devices.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to apprentice electricians.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license (state-specific or 442A/309A in Canada).
• Minimum 4 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC and/or CSA codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
• Comfortable working in industrial environments, including at heights or in tight spaces.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
