Journeyman Millwright

CanAm Industrial is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Journeyman Millwright to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision alignment, rigging, conveyors, and automation equipment, and will be comfortable working in fast-paced industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, align, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and automation systems.
• Perform precision alignment using lasers, dial indicators, and other specialized tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Safely rig, hoist, and move heavy equipment and components.
• Work collaboratively with electricians, welders, and other trades on site.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Ensure all work is performed to code, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Accurately complete daily work reports and communicate progress with supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Millwright license or certification (state/provincial equivalent, e.g., 433A in Ontario).
• Minimum 4–5 years of industrial installation experience, preferably in automation, manufacturing, or processing facilities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives.
• Experience with layout, fabrication, and equipment anchoring is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
