About the Role

We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a Technical Examination Agent, who will play a critical role in supporting automotive dealerships by providing expert technical assistance and diagnostic guidance.

 This position is ideal for experienced automotive technicians and mechanics who are passionate about problem solving and delivering exceptional customer service.  

This opportunity is open to individuals located in Detroit, MI/Auburn Hills, MI and surrounding areas.   

Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office.  The project hours of operations will be Monday – Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. 

Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, ETeams, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes. 

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Agent's primary task is to answer Inbound Calls and Tickets for technical assistance, create Cases documenting the contact in Cherwell and provide diagnostic direction to the Dealer
  • Technicians, respond to Cases, create Cases documenting the contact in Cherwell and provide diagnostic direction to the Dealer Technician until a resolution is achieved
  • Submit resolution through defined service reporting processes if the resolution is not currently published
  • Technical support to group members to Quality, Engineering, Technical Advisors as requested
  • Communicate product issues to Quality, Engineering, Technical Advisors, as requested
  • Provide information, data and direction using all tools available
  • Utilize / research database for relevant product / repair information
  • Obtain North America product information, updates from liaison representative or database
  • Perform follow ups on existing Cases and close Cases once resolution is reached

Deliverables or Project Scope

  • Provide prompt and effective technical assistance to the client’s North America dealerships
  • Communicate product issues and resolutions to Quality, Engineering, and Technical Advisors
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient problem-solving and ticket management
  • Support electrification and hybrid vehicle diagnostics as needed

Collaboration Tools or Platforms

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Dealer information software and diagnostic tools
  • Internal databases for technical resources and product updates
  • Ticketing systems for case management and resolution tracking

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years automotive technician and mechanic experience (see Additional Info)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher; Automotive Studies or Technology
  • Automotive Service Excellence Certifications (ASE) within the primary call taking area
  • Cummins 6.0L Diesel Engine experience; 2-3 years

Additional Information / Requirements

  • Knowledge of diagnostics and repair tools and Dealer information software
  • Basic PC software knowledge including Windows and basic keyboarding skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Studies is an acceptable substitute
  • Technology or equivalent from a nationally accredited university is acceptable substitute

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer ETeams, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.

As required by law, below you’ll find the reasonable range of compensation Eteams expects to pay for this role as set forth below.

We anticipate this contractor role will be posted until 4/ 10 /2026.
