About the Role

We are seeking a Parts Return Specialist that is responsible for coordinating, processing, and tracking returned automotive parts from dealerships, service centers, and customers.

This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with warranty policies, and efficient inventory management while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

The specialist plays a critical role in supporting quality control, minimizing losses, and improving the overall efficiency of the return process.  This opportunity is open to individuals located in the Madison Heights, MI location and surrounding areas. 


Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office.  The project hours of operations will be Monday – Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time. 

Contractors will be engaged and paid for by a third-party payroll supplier, Eteams, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes. 


Key Requirements


Core Duties

  • Receive, inspect, and process returned parts according to company guidelines and warranty policies 
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and conditions against return authorization requests and packing slips 
  • Prepare and maintain all required documentation, including return authorizations, credit memos, and claim forms 
  • Ensure proper filing and organization of all warranty-related records for auditing purposes 
  • Follow company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory standards regarding the handling of hazardous or restricted components 
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations for packaging, shipping, and disposal of returned materials 
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the returns workflow

  • Accurate and timely processing of returned parts 
  • Comprehensive documentation and reporting of all returns 
  • Compliance with warranty policies and regulatory standards 
  • Efficient inventory management and quality control 

Collaboration Tools or Platforms

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication
  • Internal inventory management systems for tracking and processing returns 
  • Communication tools for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in parts returns, warranty processing, logistics, or automotive repair or service experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Technical Certification
  • Automotive technical experience strongly preferred

Additional Information / Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and warranty policies 
  • Proficient with typing and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer ETeams, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.

As required by law, below you’ll find the reasonable range of compensation Eteams expects to pay for this role, as set forth below. 
We anticipate this contractor role will be posted until 4/10/2026
