Classroom teacher for adjudicated students in grades 6-12. Develop and adhere to yearly, unit and daily lesson plans in relationship to the Academy's academic goals, curriculum, and students' interests and abilities.  Develop and provide for learning activities based on the Academy's aligned curriculum, which can be customized for different learning abilities, engage all students in the learning process and can be connected to a student's PEP Plan.  Develop and implement various in-house evaluation tools and assessment methods to measure student achievement; and meld teacher-created lessons and tools with the Academy's established core and supplemental curriculum programs.  Employ effect communication skills with students, parent/guardians, facility staff and Academy colleagues.  Provide intellectual stimulation and emotional support to students and maintain an environment conductive to learning.
