We are looking for a  Field Service Engineer  for our  Midwest Region (Michigan, Ohio and Indiana) . In this role you will spend 80% of your time travelling to customer locations providing Technical Services and support to Customers, Systems Engineering and all internal support departments. Install, calibrate and troubleshoot Oerlikon Metco Thermal Spray equipment and components. Provide telephone technical support and troubleshooting, assist customers by resolving problems.  Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assignments and goals.  Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Onsite or in-house run off, servicing, repair and/or installation company products · In-process inspections at subcontractor facilities · Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of equipment · Serves as a customer contact on technical and service-related issues · Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures · Determines most cost-effective repair / resolution · Prepare service reports for internal and external customers · Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · Minimum 2-3 years’ experience preferred, but not required · High school diploma/GED · Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment · Ability to read mechanical...
