JOB TITLE: Welder/Fabricator
Dearborn Mid-West is looking for a first shift Welders and Fabricators to join our team in Taylor, MI.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior welding experience in MIG or TIG
- Minimum 2 years of steel and carbon steel experience
- Minimum 2 years reading blueprints and following through experience
- Strong organizations skill
- Ability to work independently
- Basic math skills with knowledge of fractional, metric and decimal systems
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Good communication skills
- AWS certification strongly preferred
- Must be a quality and detail oriented fabricator
- Have reliable attendance and be able to work overtime/weekends
Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate steel and other surfaces/materials
- Assemble tools and materials
- Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, and sketches
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Ensure safe and clean working environment
