Job Description

Location: Roseville, MI 

RCO is looking for a Corporate Buyer responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Well-qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree or related experience in Supply Chain. Also, experience in purchasing for Automotive/Aerospace/Prototype would be a plus. This role requires a process-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in supplier development and procurement processes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers that align with company quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Conduct price, terms, and contract negotiations to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure materials meet specifications.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage procurement processes and optimize inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ITAR, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by securing materials and suppliers aligned with project timelines.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to manage cost-saving initiatives and supplier payment terms.
  • Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with industry regulations (e.g., ITAR, AS9100, ISO standards).
  • Follows up on incorrect shipments with suppliers.
  • Review and manage purchase agreements, ensuring accuracy in pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Support compliance with RCO Quality Policies
  • Support corporate continuous improvement initiative.
