Experienced Road Measure Technician

Position Summary:

Hard Rock Stone Works is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Road Measure Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for traveling to residential and commercial job sites to take precise field measurements and create accurate digital templates for countertop and surface fabrication. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth production and installation process and acts as a liaison between the client and our production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel daily to customer sites to perform on-site field measurements using laser templating equipment (e.g., LT-55 or similar).
• Interpret customer layouts, blueprints, and job specifications to create accurate digital templates for fabrication.
• Assess job site conditions, verify measurements, and identify potential installation challenges.
• Communicate clearly with clients on site to confirm layout details, edge profiles, seam locations, sink placements, and material selections.
• Ensure all data and digital files are uploaded and submitted accurately and promptly to the production team.
• Collaborate with project managers, installers, and fabrication teams to resolve any inconsistencies or challenges.
• Maintain professionalism and provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Ensure equipment is well maintained and report any issues immediately.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and customer site requirements.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a Templater or Road Measure Technician in the stone countertop industry required.
• Proficiency in digital laser templating systems (such as LT-55 or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of countertop fabrication and installation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and spatial awareness.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a variety of on-site environments, including homes under construction.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CAD software and Slab Smith a plus.
• Experience working with granite, quartz, and solid surface materials.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay ranges from $23 to $25 based on experience, with increases based on performance and skill development
