Die Estimator Job Description:

·         Analyze project specifications, CAD Data and GD&T Requirements to determine the cost and timing of required tooling.

·         Gather information from vendors and suppliers as required.

·         Prepare and submit detailed proposals and quotations to the Engineering Department.

·         Work with engineering, production and sales teams to ensure die estimates are completed in a timely manner.

Die Estimator Requirements:

·         A deep understanding of tool and die design and build processes.

·         Ability to make detailed strip layouts.

·         Ability to interpret technical drawings, analyze project requirements and make informed cost         estimations

·         Strong math skills for calculations related to cost estimations.

·         Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, engineers and production teams.

·         5 years estimating experience.

·         5 years experience in die design and/or die making.

Die Estimator Wages:

·         Wages commensurate with experience.

·         Overtime may be required.
