Project Controls Engineer

Job Description

Administrative Controls Management, Inc. (ACM), a 41-year old established national project and program management veteran-owned consulting company, is seeking project cost engineering  professionals (budgeting, forecasting, estimating, reporting) open to growth and learning while supporting clients in Charleston, South Carolina.  ACM seeks those with 5 to 20+ years of experience.

ACM's clients over the past 41 years have resided in every industry, but our work is currently concentrated on construction projects within the manufacturing, utility, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, and institutional industries.

 

Project Engineers and/or Analysts should be experienced in:

  • Conducting analysis to identify areas needing improvement for optimal performance;
  • Budget management, project finances consolidation and tracking, collaboration with scheduling team, and risk management for the specific site;
  • Developing and updating weekly schedules working with owner and contractor superintendents, field engineers, and project managers;
  • Evaluating project schedule progress, performance and proactively identify developing problem areas;
  • Analyzing critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to project completion and recommend alternative work paths;
  • Conducting analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

The Right Candidate Should Have:

  • Hands-on construction, manufacturing, or utility industry experience;
  • A willingness to travel (and relocation discussions when applicable);
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
  • Microsoft® Project and Office, Primavera P6; or an off the shelf project management system experience;
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and/or Risk Management experience.
