Project Managers (Construction)

Job Description

Administrative Controls Management, Inc. (ACM), a 41-year old established national project and program management consulting company, is seeking project managers supporting clients in and around the Detroit metro-area.  ACM seeks those with 3 to 20+ years of experience.

ACM's clients over the past 41 years have resided in every industry, but our work is currently concentrated on construction projects within the manufacturing, utility, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, and institutional industries.

The Right candidate will have:

  • At least three (3) years of project management and coordination experience in the construction industry.  Position(s) are within the utility, energy/power, heavy construction, and/or engineering industry.

  • Possession of excellent written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of people and groups, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities is highly preferred.

  • Planning and schedule development, task duration and construction cost estimating, resource analysis, report design and development, total cost management, routine statusing, and reporting experience.  Work may involve interface with senior client personnel, including C-Suite level individuals.

  • Database and cost controls systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and scheduling systems experience.  ACM employees perform CPM Scheduling functions and all associated deliverables and or cost collection, risk identification, and projections and forecast reporting duties.   Reporting complexity may coincide with project stage-gate phases.

  • The ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to improve team performance; as well as a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.  Strong organizational and analytical skills and experience supporting an environment of collaboration and interdependence.
